“Woqod Opens Umm Ghawilina Service Station in Doha

Qatar Fuel Company (WOQOD)  has opened a new petrol station in Umm Ghawilina, in east Doha on Monday 03 April 2017. This is the 2nd petrol station inaugurated by WOQOD in 2017 after Abu Nakhlah petrol station, which was opened in February 2017. By opening Umm Ghawilina, the total number of petrol stations owned by WOQOD has reached 57 stations (including mobile stations).

The petrol station is spread over an area of 8,500 square meters approximately, and has 6 lanes with 3 filling points each.  The station will offer basic services including petroleum products in addition to Sidra convenience store, oil change, tyre repair service and sale of LPG cylinders.

The station also has an electronic payment service (WOQODe) for individuals and companies that has many benefits, especially shortening the filling time, control customer purchases and prevent the manipulation of invoices by drivers. 

On the occasion of opening the new station, Mr. Saad Rashid Al Mohannadi, Chief Executive Officer of WOQOD said: "We are pleased to open this station in the area of Umm Ghawilina, which is witnessing heavy traffic because of its distinctive location and will certainly contribute to reducing congestion and providing basic services to the community in the area around the clock”.
