Qatar Insurance Company Net Profit in Q1, 2017 Drop 6.2% to QR 302 Million

Qatar Insurance Company net profit amounted to QR 302, compared to QR 322 for the same period of the previous year. The Earnings per Share (EPS) amounted to QR 1.09 for the period ended on 31 March 2017 to EPS amounted to QR 1.16 for the same period of the previous year.

The Group's Comment

Qatar Insurance Company's total income increased by 1% to QR478.6 million in the first quarter of 2017, including QR 179.1 million as net IPO results, QR 285 million as net investment revenues. Total expense increased by 16.1% to QR 165.6 million. As result, the profit posted in this period dropped by 30.7% to QR 228.8 million.
