QIIB Discloses Lawsuit Claiming Its Board of Directors' Election Invalid

Qatar International Islamic Bank (QIIB) announced that a lawsuit has been filed – in the Court of First Instance – against the Bank by shareholder, Abdullah Ahmed Tahir, No. 189/2017, claiming the Board of Directors' election procedures held on 3/4/2017 invalid. The plaintiff demands the Bank to include his name as an independent candidate for the Board membership, bear the expenses of the claim, and pay compensation for the damages suffered.

In addition to that, shareholder Abdullah Ahmed Tahir, No. 1653/2017, filed a lawsuit – in the Court of First Instance – against QIIB, in which he requested nullification of the procedures of calling for the Extraordinary General Meeting held on 19/4/2016. The plaintiff asked for nullification of the vote on the amendment of the Bank's Articles of Association, as well as the decisions issued by the Assembly, and he demands the Bank to bear the expenses of the claim.
