December 14, 2017

The U.S. Federal Reserve announced today that it has raised key interest rates by a quarter percentage to between 1.25% and 1.50%. But kept its outlook for the next few years unchanged despite policymakers predicting faster U.S. economic growth in the short term.

The U.S. Federal Reserve said in a statement that the number of jobs created during the previous months of this year is solid, unemployment rates fell by 1.4%, and inflation is expected to remain slightly below 2% for the coming 12 months.
