Barwa and
Ministry of Municipality and Environment Sign Land Lease
Agreement To Build Labor City

Barwa Real Estate Company, a leading
real estate and investment company in Qatar and the region,
announced the signing of a lease agreement with the Ministry of
Municipality and Environment for two plots of land. Located
along salwa road, the total area of the leased plots amounts to
1,179,114 square meters signed to Barwa for a period of 27
years. Barwa intends to construct an integrated
residential city for laborers, taking into account the social,
cultural and architectural standards consistent with Qatar
National Vision 2030. The city will provide housing for workers
of different nationalities and cultures, especially those living
in shantytowns.
