Vodafone Qatar Signs an Agreement to Connect “ASTAD” with Fixed Services

Vodafone Qatar has signed an agreement today with ASTAD to connect all the site offices of this latter via Vodafone Qatar’s fixed services.

The strategic agreement was signed at ASTAD’s headquarter office by Vodafone Qatar’s Head of Large Sales, and Mr. Abdulla Alyafei, ASTAD’s IT Director.

Vodafone Qatar will provide ASTAD with a world class telecommunications infrastructure using a mix of fibre and microwave that carry high bandwidths, with guaranteed business service level agreements, and redundancy measures to protect ASTAD’s critical data flow.

ASTAD’s IT Director, Mr. Abdulla Alyafei stated: “We look forward to working together with Vodafone with the aim of implementing a robust network across our offices that will further improve business efficiency by leveraging ‘best in class’ network infrastructure. This will only further support the delivery of our projects throughout Qatar.”

ASTAD was established in 2008 to meet the growing needs of the construction industry in Qatar and the region. Since then they have managed and delivered more than 250 complex infrastructure and building projects across various sectors including “Doha Port”, “Qatar Foundation Stadium”, and “Qatar Petroleum District”.
