Qatar Central Bank Issues Treasury Bills
worth QR1.1 Billion for Various Periods

Qatar Central Bank (QCB) issued Treasury
Bills (T-Bills) on Wednesday 1 August 2018
for the periods of 3, 6
and 9 months, where the total amount of issuance is about QR1.1
billion distributed as follows:

QR600
million for three months at an interest rate of 2.21%

QR300
million for six months at an interest rate of 2.53%
-
QR200
million for nine months at a rate of 2.75%
This issuance comes within a series of
Treasury Bills (T-Bills) issuances by the Central Bank on behalf
of the Government of the State of Qatar according to the plan of
the Qatar Central Bank in coordination with the Ministry of
Finance.
Treasury bills are issued through auction for
banks operating in Qatar.
