Woqod Opens New Petrol Station in Al Froosh and Mobile Station in Freej Al Soudan

As part of the Woqod’s ongoing expansion plans to be able to serve every area in Qatar, Qatar Fuel “Woqod” opened Al Froosh petrol station on Wednesday,31 October 2018, and by this raised its network of various petrol stations to 74.

Woqod’s CEO, Engr. Saad Rashid Al Muhannadi, said: “We are pleased to open new fixed petrol stations in Al Froosh. Woqod aspires to expand its petrol station network in the country to meet the rising demand for petroleum products and achieve the goal of providing customers with access to best-in-class products and services at their convenience and comfort. Woqod has recently accelerated the process for the construction of new petrol stations to meet the fuel and energy needs of the country. Woqod team would like to extend their gratitude to the all concerned governmental and private entities that contribute to the completion of this project.”

Al Froosh is spread over an area of 1500 square meters and has 3 lanes with 6 dispensers that will serve Al Froosh and its neighborhood.

The new petrol stations offer round-the-clock services to residents, include Sidra convenience store, Manual Car wash, Oil change and tire repair, sale of LPG cylinders, in addition to sale of gasoline and diesel products for light vehicles.

Further he added that Woqod is currently overseeing the implementation of 23 new petrol stations, a large number of which are expected to be operational during the current year, noting that there are 9 stations in the bidding phase and 14 stations in the design phase. Also he pointed out that Woqod, in furtherance of customer’s satisfaction, opened one Mobile station in Fereej Al Soudan for Diesel to reduce the vehicles congestion as many private stations closed recently.

Al-Muhannadi concluded saying that as part of its strategic expansion plan, Woqod is targeting the achievement of a total of 130 fuel stations by the end of 2020.
