Woqod Opens New Petrol Station Al Gharrafa-2 and One Mobile Station in Bu Faseela

Qatar Fuel “Woqod” opened Al Gharrafa-2 petrol station on Wednesday, 07 November 2018, and by this raised its network of fixed and mobile petrol stations to 76.

Woqod’s CEO, Eng. Saad Rashid Al Muhannadi, said: We are pleased to open the new fixed petrol station Al Gharrafa-2. Woqod aspires to expand its petrol station network in the country to meet the rising demand for petroleum products and achieve the goal of providing customers with access to best-in-class products and services at their convenience and comfort. Woqod has recently accelerated the process for the construction of new petrol stations to meet the fuel and energy needs of the country. Woqod team would like to extend their gratitude to all concerned governmental and private entities that contributed to the completion of this project.”

Al Gharrafa-2 is spread over an area of 15,000 square meters and has 4 lanes with 12 dispensers that will serve Al Gharrafa and its neighborhood.

The new petrol stations offer round-the-clock services to residents, and include Sidra convenience store, Manual Car wash, oil change and tire repair, and sale of LPG cylinders, in addition to sale of gasoline and diesel products for light vehicles.

Further Al Muhannadi added that Woqod is currently overseeing the implementation of 21 new petrol stations, a large number of which are expected to be operational during the current year, noting that there are 9 stations in the bidding phase and 14 stations in the design phase.

Also he pointed out that Woqod, in furtherance of customer’s satisfaction, opened One Mobile Diesel station near Woqod Bu Faseela station and currently working on dismantling of Diesel dispensers from Bu Faseela station and will replace them by petrol dispenser to reduce the vehicles congestion.

Al-Muhannadi concluded his announcement by saying that “As part of its strategic expansion plan, Woqod is targeting the achievement of a total of 130 fuel stations by the end of 2020”.
