Barwa Launches Phase 3 of Madinat Al Mawater
and Spare Parts Complex

Barwa Real Estate announced the award
of the construction of the third phase of Madinat Al Mawater
project to the Contractor “Hassanesco Trading and Contracting
(HCC)” for a value of QR 335,000,000, with a completion period
set at 18 months.
The project spreads over a total
construction built-up area of around 167,072 square meters,
which includes used-car lots, apartments, shops, workshops. In
addition to an integrated car services center, a commercial car
spare parts complex, a hypermarket, a mosque and a car dealer
showroom. Moreover, the project will cover the construction of
the infrastructure work which includes the construction of an
electricity substation, internal roads, networks for potable
water, firefighting systems, irrigation, storm water and foul
waters and surveillance cameras with all related services such
as pump rooms, water and irrigation tanks, as well as sewage
treatment plant.
Mr. Issa bin Muhammad Al Muhannadi,
Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Barwa Real Estate, noted
that the third phase of Madinat Al Mawater project is considered
one of the largest phases of the project to date and is built
with high quality. He also praised the unlimited support of the
government and the trust it places in the private sector in
regards to urban development in Qatar under the patronage of His
Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir, and the
follow-up of His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin
Khalifa Al-Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior
for the State of Qatar.
The launch of this phase comes after
the construction and operation of the first and second phases of
Madinat Al Mawater project, located on Rawdat Rashid road near
the intersection with Salwa Road. It will serve as the main
destination and the first and largest project in the State of
Qatar for all services related to the sale, purchase and
maintenance of used cars and vehicles. This project is one of
the benefits of the partnership between the government and the
private sector represented by Barwa Real Estate Company in order
to create a central market for providing all the necessary
services for the car business. The first and second phases were
implemented according to the highest standards despite the
unjust blockage imposed on Qatar.
It should be noted that there is no
conflict of interest between the contracting parties to this
agreement.
