(The Group’s Comments) Woqod Net Profit Climbs by QR
327 Million in Q1 2019

Profits: Qatar Fuel’s (Woqod) net profit for
the first quarter 2019 amounted to QR 326.9 million, after
excluding minority interests, compared to QR 301.2 million for
the first quarter of 2018, up by 8.5%, while its earnings per
share reached QR 3.29 in this quarter, versus QR 3.03 for the
corresponding period of 2018.
Revenues: Woqod’s sales climbed by QR 6.6
million to QR 5,101.9 million in this quarter, compared to QR
5,095.3 million for the same quarter of last year, benefiting
from the slight bump in prices.
Other Revenues (dividends,
income and rents): augmented by QR 14.7 million to QR 122.2
million compared to QR 107.5 million for the first quarter of
2018.
Comprehensive Income: Woqod saw an
assessment loss in the first quarter of 2019 of about QR 18.8
million, compared to a loss of QR 30.6 million for the
corresponding period of 2018.
