(The Group's Comments) Qatar-Oman Net Profit Drops to
QR 3.37 Million in the First Quarter of 2019

Profits: Qatar-Oman Investment Company’s
profits fell by 37.5% to QR 3.38 million for the first quarter
of 2019, compared to QR 5.41 million in the same period of 2018,
while the company’s earnings per share amounted to QR 0.107
versus QR 0.172.
Net Revenues: Qatar-Oman’s
net revenues decreased by 31% to QR 4.8 million in this quarter,
compared to QR 7 million for the first quarter of 2018 as a
result of a drop in the revenues of financial investments from
QR 6.4 million to QR 4.3 million.
Comprehensive Income: Qatar-Oman
Investment recorded a profit of QR 7 million through the
statement of comprehensive income, of which about QR 320,000 was
realized and QR 6.65 million was unrealized from the valuation
of its financial investments. The company recorded an impairment
loss in the statement of comprehensive income of about QR 10
million for the same period last year.
