(The Group's Comments) Doha Insurance Net Profit Drops
to QR 17.7 Million Q1 2019

Profit: Doha Insurance’s profits dropped by
11.5% to about QR 17.7 million in the first quarter of 2019,
compared to QR 20 million in the same quarter of 2018, while the
company’s earnings per share amounted to QR 0.35 versus QR 0.56.
Operating Profit (Insurance Subscription Results): Profits from insurance activity amounted to QR 13.6 million in the
first quarter of 2019, compared to QR 24.0 million in the
corresponding quarter of 2018, a drop of 43% due to the increase
in compensation by QR 15.8 million, and the decline in the
amount of outstanding premiums by QR 5.8 million.
Investment Profits: The company's
profits from investment activity increased by 13% to reach QR
24.5 million by the end of the first quarter of 2019, compared
to QR 21.7 million in the same period of last year.
