Doha Bank and Habib Bank Limited Join Forces to Widen Digital Remittance Options to Pakistan

Doha Bank announced that it has forged a partnership with Habib Bank Limited (HBL) to offer on-the-go remittance solutions to Pakistani expats residing in Qatar.

The new digital service, will enable Doha Bank customers to transfer money instantly to their HBL bank accounts. Pakistani customers will also be able to remit money to their accounts in other Pakistani banks in approximately one hour, through HBL’s IBFT (interbank funds transfer) facility in Pakistan.

Doha Bank’s collaboration with HBL aims at promoting digital remittance amongst its customers, and will give its Pakistani customers the access to remit money to Pakistan whenever and wherever they want by registering for International Money Transfer via Doha Bank’s mobile app and online banking portal.

Under the Pakistan Remittance Initiative (PRI), Doha Bank’s Pakistani customers will enjoy free-of-charge service on remittances to Pakistan with value over USD $200. For remittances below $200 or multiple same day remittances, charges will apply as per PRI conditions.

The partnership with HBL is set to benefit the Pakistani Community in Qatar by providing them with the right products and services, to help them meet their banking needs in Pakistan and remit money to their home country, in a quick and convenient way.
