(The Group’s Comments) Dlala Holding's Net Profit Turns
Net Loss of QAR 3.68 Million in the First Half of 2019
July 30, 2019
Results of the Year: Dlala posted a
loss of about QAR 3.7 million for the first half of 2019,
compared to a profit of QAR 1.4 million for the same period of
2018. The company’s loss per share amounted to QAR 0.013 versus
earnings per share of about QAR 0.050 in the corresponding
period of 2018. These results stem from the establishment of a
provision to account for fines imposed by Qatar Financial Market
Authority, which has had a significant impact on the company’s
results for this period.
Revenues: amounted to QAR 14.9 million for the
first half of 2019, compared to QAR 17.7 million in the
corresponding period of 2018, a decrease of 16%. Although real
estate revenues improved by QAR 3.0 million, the decrease of
brokerage commissions by QAR 5.6 million led to this decline.
Expenses: increased to QAR 18.9 million
compared to QAR 16.4 million for the first half of 2018, as
mentioned earlier.
Accumulated Losses: reached QAR 58 million by the end of
the first half of 2019, representing 20.4% of the capital and
about 27.5% of the shareholders' equity, and the book value of
the share stood at QAR 0.74
