(The Group’s Comments) Qatar-Oman's Net Profit Falls to QAR 4.03 Million for the First Half of 2019

Profits: Qatar-Oman Investment Company’s 2019 first half profits fell by 26% to QAR 4.03 million, compared to QAR 5.45 million, while its earnings per share amounted to QAR 0.012 versus QAR 0.017 for the same period in 2018. As for the second quarter, the company posted a net profit of about QAR 600,000 compared to QAR 40,000 for the corresponding period of 2018.

 

Net Revenues: decreased by 24% to QAR 1.67 million as a result of the decline in dividends from QAR 6.8 million for the first half of 2018 to QAR 4.57 million for the first half of 2019. Cash dividends received from the company’s investments in other ventures constituted about 86%, while profits on revenues stood at about 11% of total revenues.

 

Comprehensive Income: Qatar-Oman recorded profits from the assessment of its financial assets through the statement of comprehensive income of about QAR 13.81 million, compared to QAR 26.05 million for the same period in 2018.
