The Country's Merchandise Trade Balance Registers a Surplus of QAR 12.9 billion in September 2019

The Country’s Merchandise Trade Balance achieved a surplus of QAR 12.9 billion in September 2019 registering an annual decrease of QAR 2.6 billion (16.7%) compared to September 2018. However, it achieved a monthly rise of QAR 0.7 billion (6.2%) compared to August 2019.

The Planning & Statistics Authority, in its preliminary report on the Country's foreign trade statistics for last September, has pointed out that the total value of Qatari exports (which includes exports of domestic origin and re-exports) amounted to nearly QAR 20.3 billion, an annual decline of 24.1% and a monthly decline of 4.1%.

The value of the merchandise imports declined during last September to reach QAR 7.5 billion, a decrease of 34.2% year-on-year basis, while this value declined by 17.8% compared to last August.
