(The Group’s Comment) Doha Insurance Group Net Profit Increases to QAR 40.0 million in the 3^rd Quarter 2019

Ø  Profits: The profits for the 9 months ended 2019 increased to QAR 40.01 million compared to QAR 35.39 million for the same period last year, a 13% increase. Earnings per share amounted QAR 0.08 compared to QAR 0.07. 3^rd quarter profits reached QAR 5.51 million versus QAR 0.49 million for the same quarter 2018.

Ø  Operating Profit: (results of insurance underwriting):  Company’s profits from the insurance activity for the period amounted QAR 67.61 million against QAR 54.66 million attributed to the improvement in the results of the accidents and fire division by QAR 12.4 million a 68% increase.

Ø  Investment Profits: The Company’s profits from the investment activity as of the end of the period amounted QAR 42.7 million compared to QAR 38.58 million attributed to the improvement in the fair value of the investments through the shown in the income statement.

Ø  Comprehensive income: The Company recorded losses in valuation of its investments by QAR 284.0 thousand for the period as shown in the comprehensive income statement versus profits of QAR 4.39 million for the equivalent period last year 2018.
