Delays Rentals Receipt of Its Leased Premises for Three Months

Barwa Real Estate Group announced
that in line with the preventive measures and procedures taken by the
government of the State of Qatar, and in view of the potential impact of
coronavirus ‘COVID 19’ on the commercial activities, it has been decided
to postpone the rentals of its commercial units, warehouses, workshops,
showrooms, offices affected by the surrounding conditions for three
months starting April 2020.
H E Mr. Salah Al Ghanim, Chairman of
Barwa Group said “Barwa is not in isolation of the existing
developments. This initiative reflects the company’s commitment towards
the community responsibility for further support to the national
economy, the private sector and the investors”. Al Ghanim confirmed
Barwa permanent strive and proactivity in similar national initiatives
aiming at giving a push to the private sector as one of the cornerstones
of progress of the national economy. He further explained that the
support to this vital sector promotes ‘Qatar Vision 2030’ patronized and
supported by HH the Emir of the Country, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al
Thani.
Barwa Chairman added “Barwa
values its strategic partnership developed
over the past years with the government and with the tenants. We will
continue to extend support to our tenants and related parties as well as
adopting to national initiative for boosting the success of the private
sector”.
