Qatar Central Bank Cuts Interest Rates

Qatar Central Bank ‘QCB’ announced today that in light of the local
and international economic data, the Bank has decided the following with
effect from Monday 16 March 2020:
Ø
Reducing the interest rate on Deposits with QCB ‘QCBDR’ by 50 basis
points to be 1.00%
Ø
Reducing the interest rate on Lending from QCB ‘QCBLR’ by 100 basis
points to be 2.50%
Ø
Reducing the interest rate on repurchase deposit ‘REPO’ by 50 basis
points to be 1.00%
