Islamic Insurance Co Announces Agenda of Its AGM Scheduled 12 April 2020

Qatar Islamic Insurance Company has announced the agenda of the
company’s annual general meeting scheduled to convene on Sunday, 12
April 2020 at 6:30 pm in the company’s headquarters located at the C
ring road. The AGM intends to discuss and ratify the following items
listed on its agenda:
1.
Directors’
report on the company’s activity and financial position for the year
ended 31 December 2019.
2.
The Sharia
Board’s report for the year ended 31 December 2019.
3.
The external
auditors’ report on the company’s accounts for the year ended 31
December 2019 along with the revenue statement, and expenses for
insurance policy holders and the shareholders’ income statement for the
year 2019.
4.
The company’s
financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2019 as well as the
Board’s proposal to disburse QAR 0.375 cash dividends per share (37.5%
of the share par value).
5.
Discharging the
Board of Directors from its responsibility on the company’s accounts for
the year ended 31 December 2019 and determining their wages.
6.
The company’s
corporate governance report on the year 2019.
7.
The election of
a new Board for the new term ending 2022.
8.
The
reappointment of Sharia Supervisory Board for the coming three years
ending 2022 as follows: Sheikh Prof. Ali Mohiuddin Al-Qurrah Daghi,
Sheikh Dr. Yahya Hamad Al-Nuaimi and Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Salem Abdullah
Al-Yafi'i.
9.
The appointment
of external auditors to handle the company’s accounts for the year 2020
and determining their charges.
The
company further stated that in case a quorum is not attained in this
meeting, then an alternative meeting will take place on Wednesday, 15
April 2020 the same time and venue.
