(The Group’s Comments) Qatari Investors Net Profit Declines to QR 49.1 Million in Q1 2019

Profits: Qatari Investors’ net profit amounted to QR 49.1 million for the first quarter of 2019, after excluding non-controlling interests, compared to QR 88.7 million for the corresponding period of 2018, down by 44%. Earnings per share amounted to SR 0.41 compared to SR 0.68 for the same period of 2018.

 

Revenues: decreased to QR 156.9 million or 24% in the first quarter of 2019, compared to QR 207.4 million, which led to a decrease in total profit (revenues - cost) to QR 87.5 million compared to QR 119 million for the same quarter of 2018. The company has multiple revenue streams such as contracting, industrial activity, marine and logistics.

 

Expenditures: The total expenses for the quarterly period ended on 31/3/2019 amounted to QR47.9 million, compared to QR 41.0 million for the corresponding period of 2018, an increase of 17%. Financing costs increased by QR 6.75 million, while administrative and general expenses by QR 2.25 million.

 

Comprehensive Income: The results for the period did not include any assessments in the statement of comprehensive income against a profit of about QR 1 million for the same period last year.
