Ahli Bank Closes Its 4th Tranche of Mid-Term Notes Offering worth USD 500 Million

In the context of the its Mid-Term Notes Issuance Program worth USD 2.0 billion, Ahli Bank announced that it has successfully completed the 4th tranche of the five-year fixed income notes offering worth USD 500 million 
As stated by the Bank, the discount rate on the coupon amounted 1.875%, while the offering was significantly three times oversubscribed by 122 investors from Europe, Asia, United Kingdom, Middle East and North Africa.
Ahli Bank’s CEO, Hassan Ahmed Al Efrangi said, "We are proud of the successful completion of the 4th tranche of this Notes issuance. It demonstrates the confidence of the international investors in the robustness of Qatari economy and the solid Bank’s financial position. This, of course will have its positive impact on the Bank’s operations and financial results as well”.
Mr. Al Efrangi added, “Ahlibank has created a successful benchmark in the international debt capital markets with the support from our Joint Bookrunner banks being Barclays, Mizuho Securities, QNB Capital and Standard Chartered Bank.
Our 4th tranche Notes issuance was favorably met by the international investors and has been reflected in a healthy geographic spread among investors from Europe by 34%, Asia 32%, UK 24% and MENA by 10% of the issuance. I would like to thank our international investors for their continued trust in the Qatari economy and Ahli Bank, as well as our Joint Bookrunners for the successful execution of this transaction.
