Al Meera obtains ISO certification 22000:2018  for Food Safety Management

The British Standards Institute awarded Al Meera Consumer Goods an ISO certification 22000:2018 For its food security management system. The ISO certification ceremony took place on Tuesday, where His Excellency the British Ambassador to the State of Qatar, Jon Wilks, handed the award to the Chief Executive officer Of Al Meera, Mr. Yousef Ali Al-Obaidan.

This accreditation is a recognition of Al Meera’s merit in the filed of food safety management, in terms of control processes, safety and quality standards aimed to provide customers with safe consumer goods.
ISO Certification 22000: 2018 is a global standard that defines food security safety requirements. Organizations around the world adopt this certification to manage food security safety by providing consistent and objective standards that define quality and security levels for companies and consumers.

Ambassador John Wilkes said, Congratulating Al Meera on its achievement: “Congratulations to Al Meera, the leading national retail company, on this achievement as part of its constant work to raise food security standards and provide fresh products with high quality and dedication to consumers in all its branches.”
