Nakilat takes over the management of the liquefied natural gas vessel “Lijmiliya”, effective from 27 October 2020

Nakilat has taken over the management and full technical operations of the “Lijmiliya” LNG vessel Qmax from Shell International Trading and Shipping Ltd. (Shell), effective from  27 October 2020, as part of the second phase of the plan for the process of transferring the technical and operational management for ships to be managed by Nakilat.
The " Lijmiliya" vessel with a capacity of 263,300 cubic meters is wholly owned by "Nakilat" and chartered by "Qatargas". The ship was built in South Korea by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Corporation in January 2009, and it has been in service since then.
“Lijmiliya” is the seventh vessel of the second stage in the process of transferring the technical and operational management of ships from Shell to “Nakilat Qatar Gas Transport Limited” this year, bringing the total number of vessels currently managed by Nakilat to 26 vessels consisting of 22 natural gas vessels and 4 liquefied petroleum gas vessels.
