Gulf Warehousing GWC signs MoU to acquire Eurochem Logistics

Gulf Warehousing Company (GWC) announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to acquire Eurochem Logistics Company and its strategic location for chemical storage in Ras Laffan Industrial City, which has an area of 22,000 square meters, through the Gulf Warehousing Company for Chemicals LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary by GWC.
In this regard, Mr. Abdullah Saif Yasser Al-Musallam, Chairman of Eurochem Logistics LLC said: "We are pleased with this association with GWC, and we are fully confident in their capabilities and leadership in the chemical and hazardous materials logistics operations sector, which enhances the continuity and development of operations in this site dedicated to chemical storage."
The logistics infrastructure dedicated to logistics solutions for hazardous materials for GWC operations in the oil and gas sector spans a total area of 320,000 square meters in the two industrial cities of Ras Laffan and Mesaieed, providing specialized logistical solutions such as hazardous materials warehouses and open storage yards in addition to general warehouses. This new location will enhance GWC's presence with the strategic locations and expansion capabilities that the company provides to the oil, gas and industrial sectors.
On this occasion, Mr. Ranjiv Menon, Group CEO at GWC said: “By signing this memorandum, GWC will reinforce its leadership position in the field of hazardous materials logistics, and we will continue to provide customers in Ras Laffan with pioneering integrated solutions in the field of hazardous materials handling. According to the best practices in the sector, in accordance with the quality, safety and control controls of regulatory bodies for more than a decade ago.
In September 2020, GWC was announced as the first regional supporter and official logistical provider for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 ™, making GWC the main operational provider of logistics solutions for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 ™.
