Qatar Central Bank issues treasury bills worth 600 million riyals for the month of July 2021

In the context of the Qatar Central Bank’s endeavor to develop the monetary policy in the State of Qatar, increase its effectiveness, contribute to the strength of the banking and financial system, activate the open market tools as one of the monetary policy tools, and in implementation of the coordination mechanism between the financial and monetary policies, Qatar Central Bank issued on Tuesday, 06 July 2021, treasury bills for the terms of Three, six and nine months, where the value of the issues amounted to about 600 million Qatari riyals, distributed as follows:
 300 - million riyals for three months at an interest rate of 0.33%
200 - million riyals for six months at an interest rate of 0.42%
100 - million riyals for nine months at an interest rate of 0.35%
This issue is part of a series of issues that the bank carries out on behalf of the government of the State of Qatar and according to the schedule prepared in advance by the Qatar Central Bank and in coordination with the Ministry of Finance.
Treasury bills are auctioned for the benefit of banks operating in the State of Qatar.
