The merger of the two Ooredoo Group companies and CK Hutchison in a deal valued at $6 billion has been approved after the Extraordinary Shareholder Meeting.

The Ooredoo Group announces that with reference to the previous announcement in relation to the proposed merger between Ooredoo QPSC (“Ooredoo”) – its trading symbol ORDS, and CK Hutchison Holdings Limited (“CK Hutchison”) – and its trading symbol HK0001 ( (which will be referred to as the “Parties”), the Parties today confirmed the approval of the merger process between their respective telecom companies operating in Indonesia, PT Indosat Tbk (“Indosat Ooredoo”) and PT Hutchison 3 Indonesia (“H3I”), Following the Extraordinary Shareholder Meeting which was held on December 28, 2021, at Indosat Ooredoo Headquarters.
It was also announced that Mr. Vikram Sinha was appointed as the CEO of the new company.
