Qatar Electricity and Water Company announced that Ras Laffan Operating Company LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Qatar Electricity and Water Company, has signed a share sale and purchase agreement with Qatar Holding Company LLC for the purpose of purchasing 40% of the capital of Nebras Power Company Q.P.S.C (Nebras) from Qatar Holding Company. The Qatar Electricity and Water Company owns the remaining 60% capital of Nebras Company. The agreed purchase price for the transaction is $530 million (Five Hundred Thirty Million US Dollars).
The completion of the transaction in accordance with the share sale and purchase agreement is subject to a number of preconditions, which include regulatory approvals and notifications in some foreign countries in which Nebras is present and the approval of the General Assembly of the Qatar Electricity and Water Company, which is scheduled to be held during the month of March 2022
