Moody's credit rating agency announced that it has fixed its rating for QIIB at (A2) with a stable outlook, noting that QIIB enjoys many advantages that outweigh the strength of its financial position and its entitlement to this high degree.
In its rationale for its classification of QIIB, Moody's confirmed that its classification is based on being one of the leading Islamic financial institutions in the State of Qatar, the recovery of profitability levels, the quality of the bank's assets, high liquidity and a good level of capital adequacy for the bank, in addition to a very high probability of obtaining government support when needed - Especially with Qatar's high rating at "Aa3" with a stable outlook
