Alkhaleej Takaful Insurance announced that S&P Global Ratings has upgraded its long-term credit rating for the company's financial strength from BBB to BBB+ with a stable outlook.
This upgrade comes "due to the fact that the company has, over the past four years, taken important steps to strengthen risk management and governance frameworks."
The report emphasized that the company "is still one of the best performing companies in the Qatari insurance market with strong net aggregate ratios (losses and expenses) compared to the rest of the companies in the sector."
