Doha Bank, in its capacity as the founder of the Qatar Exchange Traded Fund (the Fund), announces today the agreement with Qatar National Bank for Financial Services as a liquidity provider for the Qatar Exchange Traded Funds starting from 3 July 2022.
Qatar National Bank for Financial Services has become the second liquidity provider for the QETF, joining the Group Securities that has been serving as a major liquidity provider since the fund's inception in March 2018. The presence of two liquidity providers will deepen the fund's liquidity pool and ensure that investors have access to the best possible prices when trading exchange-traded funds.
The activity of the liquidity provider of QETF (the Fund) is obligated to provide bi-directional prices on the fair value of the underlying holdings of the Fund's index. The quotes are constantly updated to reflect the price movement of the main indicator components. The liquidity provider also offers high volume deals to help clients reduce the price impact of large deals and get the best price for their orders.
The addition of QNB Financial Services as a second liquidity provider will bring a strong end to the first half of 2022 for the Qatar Exchange Traded Fund (QETF). The Qatar Exchange Traded Fund (QETF) has returned 12.00% on a total return to date basis. The QETF itself is among the top 10 performing markets globally. QETF saw an increase in liquidity with volumes increasing by 50% compared to the first half of 2021.
