As part of its strategic plan, which is based on expanding its network of stations and serving all regions of the country, Qatar Fuel "WOQOD" opened the golf course station in Education City, on Thursday 15/09/2022.
On this occasion, Mr. Saad Rashid Al Mohannadi, CEO and Managing Director of the company, said, “We are pleased today to inaugurate the golf course station in Education City, to meet the needs of our valued customers in and around this area,” stressing that the opening of the golf course station in the new Education City would translate WOQOD's ambitious plans to expand its network of stations and facilitate access to them. It also aims to meet the increasing demand for petroleum products in the local market, and to ensure the provision of high-quality products and services to all customers throughout the country. He expressed WOQOD's thanks and appreciation to all relevant authorities that contributed and contribute to the achievement vital projects.
The golf course station covers an area of 26,300 square meters, and the station contains 4 lines that include 12 pumps to fill fuel for light vehicles.
As part of WOQOD's green initiative in line with Qatar's 2030 vision for sustainable development, the golf course station in Education City was equipped with sources to generate electricity from solar energy to cover part of the energy used in the station, in cooperation with Siraj Energy Company. It also contains units for charging electric vehicles that were installed in cooperation with the Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA). And this is to serve the visitors of Education City and its surrounding areas.
The golf course station provides its customers with round-the-clock services, including Sidra store for daily necessities, manual car wash services, oil change and tire repair for light vehicles, in addition to fast food restaurants for vehicles, as well as transparent gas cylinders distribution centers, in addition to providing all kinds of petroleum products for light vehicles.
It is worth noting that WOQOD is currently supervising the implementation of 7 new stations, most of which are expected to be operational in the second half of 2022.
