Medicare Group discloses the ruling in the lawsuit, appeals No. 880/2020 and 829/2020, accepting both in form and subject matter by rejecting them and upholding the judgment of the Court of First Instance


Medicare Group, according to the external law firm, announces the judgment in Appeals No. 2020/880 filed by the National Health Insurance Company - SEHA (Under Liquidation) against Medicare Group and Others, and Appeal No. 2020/829 filed by Medicare Group against the National Health Insurance Company Health and others, as the Court of Appeal ruled today, Tuesday, 01/24/2023, to accept the two appeals in form and subject matter by rejecting them and upholding the ruling of the Court of First Instance.
It should be noted that the Court of First Instance had issued its ruling on 30/09/2020 in favor of the company with the following:
1.    Inadmissibility of the case with regard to the two litigants involved in filing it against unqualified persons.
2.    Obliging the first defendant, the National Health Insurance Company - SEHA (under liquidation) to pay the group for medical care an amount of 125,683,595 Qatari riyals for the value of its dues, in addition to an amount of 5,000,000 Qatari riyals as comprehensive compensation, and the rest of the requests were rejected.
